About the event

Join us to explore our ponds and surrounding areas to discover the wildlife that lives at Centre for Wildlife Gardening.  Toads, tadpoles, woodlice and worms are just a selection of the animals that you might discover here! Activities will include using nets to look at animals found in the pond and looking under logs to see what minibeasts we can find.

Meet in the garden, if you can't see a member of staff there, pop to the visitor centre and office at the top of the ramp. The session will be led by a member of our Learning & Engagement team.

Sessions are aimed at children of all ages and parents/carers together. All children must be accompanied throughout the session by a responsible adult.

No need to book, just drop in on the day.

This is a free event, but donations are welcome. All profits are invested into London Wildlife Trust’s conservation and education work and the care of its nature reserves.

Mobility

All of the Centre for Wildlife Gardening is accessible for wheelchair users except for the Woodland Path, which is too narrow for most wheelchairs.

The area around the new visitor centre and main path down to the pond dipping platform has accessible surfaces, whilst other footpaths around the site are surfaced in woodchip. Some of the surfaces are uneven or covered in some vegetation.

There is a quiet indoor classroom area that can be used for breaks.
