About the event

Come join the volunteer team at Walthamstow Wetlands to help run our community garden! Learn how to grow different vegetables and help carry out practical conservation work to manage the habitats in our garden area for wildlife.

Meeting point: Engine House visitor centre

Tasks may include:

  • Seed sowing
  • Watering and weeding raised beds
  • Managing compost area
  • Pruning trees
  • Harvesting!

What to bring

Drinking water, clothes you don't mind getting dirty and sturdy shoes - we're out in all weathers!

Please note this event is for 16+ only. Under 18s must fill out a parental consent form before the event. Please contact verangers@wildlondon.org.uk to request a form.

When you attend the session, all attendees will be required to fill in a 'One day volunteer registration form' and provide details such as an emergency contact and declaring any health conditions to ensure you are best supported throughout the session.
