How has the land of Walthamstow Wetlands changed throughout the years? Were the reservoirs always here, how did London's history throughout the 18th and 19th century lead to their creation and who built them?
If you've always wanted to learn the answers to these questions and more about the social history of the reserve, join the team of friendly guides on this brand-new guided walk.
This is a gentle walk around the reserve on paths - there may be some gentle inclines, strong stout footwear is recommended. The walk will last approximately 2 hours and will be fully outdoors - so dress for the weather! Please bring some water with you.
This walk is for people aged 16 and above. Further information will be sent out prior to the event.
This guided walk will focus only on the social history of Walthamstow Wetlands, and there won't be an element of wildlife watching. Please see our other events for wildlife-themed activities.
