Autumnwatch has a new home!  Bill Oddie and Kate Humble are heading south to a new home in Dorset’s Poole Harbour – the gorgeous wildlife haven of Brownsea Island.  They’ll be following the day-to-day activities of a whole range of wild creatures on the island and in surrounding areas as autumn reaches its climax.

Since the early 1960s, Brownsea Island has been owned by the National Trust, with part of the island managed by the Dorset Wildlife Trust. It’s home to charming red squirrels, rutting sika deer and a host of woodland and water birds, many of whom are stopping by in large numbers on their autumn migration. From fungi to finches, beetles to bats, and wood ants to water voles, Brownsea is one of the most varied and important sites for wildlife in southern Britain. Autumn is one of its busiest times.

BBC London will be joining in with Autumnwatch broadcasts as usual, giving you the local angle on your wild animals, places and events. Look out for London Wildlife Trust on both local and national TV and radio coverage.
