Autumn and winter watching in London

Walkers bathed in shafts of sunInstead of mourning the end of summer, London Wildlife Trust is getting excited about the colder months of the year.

There’s lots to love about autumn and winter in the capital. This time of year is all about your thickest and most favourite woolly jumpers, boots and leg warmers.Tree skeleton and dramatic skies

It’s about golden leaves and crunchiness underfoot.

It’s about breath frozen into clouds on crisp clear mornings and it’s about tree skeletons cast in shadow against dramatic winter skies.
Fungi and autumn leaves
Tis the season to indulge in some winter walks, feed the birds in your garden, forage for fungi and collect conkers and pine cones.
